It will be an exciting project, my return to Desire Chelsea this year. It’s the first post-Brexit show in London for me, so of course it will involve a huge amount of work. In December 2021, the Federal Association of Arts and Crafts invited entries for the first time to a nationwide competition to put together a collection of German arts and crafts. Around 80 applications with approx. 250 exhibits from all areas of work were sent in. A jury selected 24 objects from all the entries. With this year’s exhibition theme “Ars et Ingenium” – based on the Leonardo da Vinci anniversary – the temptation was just too big for me.
