MKG Messe Hamburg 2017

It’s that time again – the last and longest exhibition of the year is coming up:
The traditional fair “Kunst und Handwerk” in the Museum of Arts and Crafts Hamburg.

Sustainability as a common value
Sustainability does not only play a role in fashion and nutrition. Even designers and artists care about their environment. The 67 participants deal specifically with craftsmanship techniques, material properties and sustainable processing. From numerous applications, the exhibiting craftsmen and designers were selected expertly. The spectrum of the fair covers book / paper, jewelery, equipment, textile, Möble, ceramics / porcelain, mechanical objects, metal and pieces of furniture. Annually around 22,000 visitors honor the offer of the trade fair for arts and crafts.
Award of the artists
In honor of the initiator of the fair, Justus Brinckmann (1843-1915), a ten-member expert jury determines the winner of the Justus Brinckmann Prize (7,500 Euro) and the Justus Brinckmann Award (2,500 Euro) each year during the exhibition.
